He went over to him, bandaged his wounds, put him on his animal, took care of him in the inn, paid the innkeeper 2 silver coins to look after him. BONUS: He cared enough to personally sacrifice his time, $, effort.
In the end, who helped the person in need? BONUS +400: Why did Jesus choose this person in His story?
A Samaritan. BONUS: Samaritans were looked down upon & hated. Everyone is our neighbour, even those considered different or an enemy.
