The people would sin, God would allow them to be oppressed, the would repent and turn back to God, God would rescue them, then they would forget everything God had done for them and fall back into sin.
What is grace?
Grace is when God gives us something good even when we do not deserve it.
How did God feed His people while they were in the wilderness for 40 years?
God rained down manna from heaven every morning, quail ran through the camps every evening, and water flowed from a rock.
What did David use to kill Goliath? Provide details.

God called Jonah to go to his enemies in Nineveh and call them to turn away from their sin. What was Jonah's response?
Jonah ran away and headed on a boat to Tarshish. He was thrown overboard and swallowed by a big fish. He lived in it's belly for 3 days and was spit out on dry land. Then he went to Nineveh.
What is repentance?
Repentance is turning away from sin and turning to Jesus.
What did the brothers do to Joseph because they were jealous of him?
They were going to kill him, and then decided to throw him into a pit, and then sold him as a slave. Genesis 37:18-28
King David was a great king and a man after God’s own heart. But, like us, David was a sinful person. Name two ways David sinned against God.
He started disobeying God by not going to battle with his army. While he was home, he took another man’s wife as his own. To cover his sin, he had the woman’s husband killed. God punished David for his sin. David’s son died. 2 Samuel 12
Isaiah was a prophet used by God to warn the kingdom of Judah about His judgment. How did the people sin against God, and who did God say would capture them and make them slaves if they did not repent?
The people turned away from God and worshiped idols. They followed in the ways of the other nations around them. God said that they would be judged for their sin by allowing Babylon to capture them.
What is idolatry?
Idolatry is a sin of the heart in which we love and value something else above God.

Solomon, King David’s son, was the king of Israel after his father died. God gave Solomon a chance to ask for anything he wanted. What did he ask for and how did God answer his request?
Because Solomon was young and didn’t have any experience leading as king, Solomon asked God for wisdom. God was happy with Solomon’s request and gave him things he did not ask for too. 1 Kings 2
God had compassion on the people of Judah by sending the prophets over and over again to tell them to repent of their sin. The kings and people of Judah did not listen. What did God allow to happen to them and the temple?
The Babylonians raided and destroyed their temple. They burned down their cities down, and took the people captive.
What is mercy?
Mercy is when God does not give us the punishment that we deserve.
