-trying to ignore and avoid negative people around you
Goal oriented and driven

-Does what you say you're going to do
-Identify small steps to reach goals and then takes them
-Thinking of others and helping them feel good
-Notice when friends and family are upset and does best to support them.
Taking responsibility
-Able to take responsibility for problems and behaviors
-When does something wrong, is thoughtful and apologizes for his wrongdoings
Using coping skills/relazation
-Take time to relax and use coping skills every day
-Spend free time doing enjoyable activities
Considering Options, making thoughtful decisions
-Taking the time to think about the positive and negative consequences of options before making a choice
Accepting Limitations, forgiveness for flaws
-Does not call people names...even yourself
-If make a mistake, tries to come up with a solution to fix it
-Reminder that nobody is perfect and moves on -Tries not to badmouth others, even when they make you mad or hurt feelings
Positive self regard
-Reminding yourself of positive qualities and strengths on a regular basis
-When someone puts you down or you start to feel bad about yourself, tell yourself not to worry and remind of your strengths and the positive things people have said about you
Affect Regulation
-Able to identify and express emotions
-When begins to feel angry, use facial expressions, voice tone, and volume to express feelings
-Talking with trusted adult or counselor
