When should you write an observation?
You should write an observation when there is a continuous behavior that is self inflicting. (ex. When a child is throwing objects. Or a child is hitting themselves.)
Or when you notice something on a child (ex. a scratch on their face)
When are Lesson Plans Due?
Lesson Plans are due every Thursday.
First week they are not done. It will be a coaching session on the importance of being prepared for your classroom.
Second week they are not done will result in a write up.

When do you clean the tables?
Before and after eating.
Before and after sensory play. (ex. sandy and play dough)
After art work.
How many pictures should be sent through for each child each day?
At least 3 pictures. Pictures at meals do not count for this.
What do you do with food containers at the end of the day?
Empty all food into the classroom garbage and then return the empty container to the kitchen.
What should you do if you run out of room when writing the description on the report?
Write out another report. Do not write on the back page of the report.
When you are hanging art work what should be posted with it? And how long can you the art work be up for?
Documentation of learning.
This should be posted with all of your art work. This should also have a piece of construction paper behind it.
Art work should also be changed every 30 days.
When do you wash hands?
Children - before and after eating and sensory play.
after using the bathroom, blowing nose, or putting their hands in their mouth.
When they come back from inside.
Staff - after using gloves, going to the bathroom, or when you come in contact with bodily fluids.
When should you upload a picture of a child sleeping?
Never.
What should you bring with you when you leave your classroom?
You should always bring your ipad and your emergency backpack.
Where should diaper cream forms be stored?
All diaper cream forms should be on a clip board by the diaper changing station.
What is an example of an accommodation/modification for a lesson plan?
Ex. If a child has a difficulty with using scissors, you can say "Assist (child's name) with using the scissors." for that activity. There should be a couple accommodations across the lesson plans.
When do you complete the cleaning check list and when do you hand it in?
You should be cleaning through the day this way it makes it easier when you are closing out your room, or during nap time.
It should be handed in at the end of your shift on Friday. For now on, Fridays we will be leaving out the cleaning binder this way you can put it right in :)

How do you label bottles/sippy cups?
Every part of the bottle/sippy cup needs to be labeled with first and last name of the child. At the beginning of the day make sure to label the bottle/sippy cup with blue tape and the date.

What is considered a "tour ready" classroom?
1. Shelves/cubbies are cleaned and correctly labeled
2. Classroom is DE-CLUTTERED.
3. All art work is up to date for the current month/theme.
4. TLE Signage should be neat
5. Parentboard is up to date
5. Toy bath is utilized, in the right place, and changed several times throughout the day.
6. Diaper changing station is ready with no baskets, wipes, diapers, or cream left out. (tour ready- clear bag, gloves, fresh changing sheet)
7. Chairs are cleaned and sanitized.
8. Counter tops are cleaned and sanitized.
What do you do with your spray bottles at the end of the day?
They should be emptied and put into the staff lounge. The opener will fill them up and date them.

Where should the allergy list be hung up?
Allergy list should be posted inside the cabinet above the sink in every classroom.

1. Process is an art fully done by the children with minimal help from an adult.
2. Product is almost completely done by the teacher.
No copied sheets should be on the walls at any time. You must trace and cut out individual pieces.
