He says that all of these people saying nasty things about the Queen are her enemies so half of the things they say are probably not true. Edmund saw a sight that nearly made his heart stop beating. He saw a lion in a courtyard crouched as if it was ready to spring. Surrounding the lion were many statues. Once he gets inside he finds himself in a long gloomy hall with many pillars.
