What is Manna?
Exodus 16:4
"bread from heaven" ; the daily physical nourishment to the children of Israel for 40 years
Think of other things, besides eating, that you do every day. Why do certain things have to be done daily to be effective? What do you feel inspired to do to seek daily spiritual experiences?
Share personal testimony. We need the daily nourishment!
What was the process of collecting the manna like? What instructions did the Lord give?
Exodus 16:16, 19, 22–26
1. Gather it every morning (or else it would melt)
2. Every man according to his eating, an omer for every man, according to the number of your persons
3. Let no man leave of it till the morning - meaning? You can't "stock" up
4. Gathered twice amount on the sixth day, to be able to keep sabbath day holy & rest
Did the manna come to them… or did they have to go get it? What does that suggest about how spiritual nourishment works?
The act of us seeking out & working for these things is important to our spiritual growth
What does the Lord say that manna was meant to teach the children of Israel & all of us?
Deuteronomy 8:3
That man does not live by bread alone, but by the word of God
What does the Lord give me that is like the daily manna that He gave the Israelites?

was like coriander seed, white; and the taste of it was like wafers made with honey.
so sweet - have we heard this description anywhere else? like nephi with the tree of life?

Examples: Daily scripture study, feasting upon the word. Praying daily! Caring about spiritual nourishment just as much as physical!
