Darry liked anything that took strength, like weight-lifting or playing football.

Ponyboy has a difficult time accepting the fact that Johnny killed Bob and that Johnny's dead.

Cause & Effect: Ponyboy's English teacher understands that he's been through a lot in the last few weeks and it is impacting his grades.
What is the reason Ponyboy's teacher gave him a second chance?
The Greaser "win" over the Socs, even though they lost Johnny and Dally.
What is a symbol of the have-nots "wins" over the haves? Poor and underprivileged people may get "wins" and here and there but at what cost? Think about what a REAL win would be.
Ponyboy scares of the Socs with a broken soda bottle and immediately cleans up the broken pieces of glass, which is very unlike a Greaser.
