The husband who thinks he is able to walk all over his wife and baby momma. He is a greedy old man who is known for his buried gold as well as his adultery, drunkenness, and abusive nature.
Summarize CLarissa
Clarissa is an elderly woman who is viewed as a miracle worker and a saint. She helps out around the community and does everything she can to help. One day someone tries to rob her, so she befriends him and gives him money. When she married a judge and had two children, her daughter was born albino and had special needs and her son was mentally challenged. Later, she has two more children who are considered normal and are able to take care of the two other kids. After being locked in a bathroom with a gas leak, the two disabled children died. Clarissa then finds out she will die on Friday and her husband does not seem very bothered by this. She is worried that she will not go to heaven because she cheated on her husband with a politician and the kids she had with him were healthy and normal.

Power of emotions
The power of emotions is present throughout the entire story, especially emphasized through Casilda. The Judge is completely changed by Casilda and even rules in law somewhat unjustly because of this softer side of him.
