Compare women's rights in the view of Hammurabi's code, and in the view of America today. Give at least 4-6 sentences.

Women's rights in the view of Hammurabi's code was unfair compared to men's rights. For example, if a finger is pointed at a man's wife about another man, but she isn't caught sleeping with the other man she will jump into a river for her husband. Women were not equal under law, and this was called a double standard. Today women are equal to men, and have as many rights as men. Women can own land, vote, and have many other rights as well. This shown how unfair women's rights were in the view of Hammurabi's code.
