What is the difference between a multidisciplinary team and a transdisciplinary team?
Multidisciplinary means that each member has their own specialty and they meet to share information, but do not cross into each other's specialty. Transdisciplinary is much more collaborative. Team members extend themselves into other areas and are taught by other team members. This is thought to be the preferred team in early childhood special education.
