What is side of the field the mark is allowing you to throw?
The open side
Someone called a foul on you. What are your options? What can you do if you don't know what to say?
Options are to contest (disagree) or no contest (uncontested - agree). If you don't know what to do you can ALWAYS ask a coach what the rule is. We cannot tell you what call to make (and neither can the sideline).
What is a foul?
Non-incidental contact between opposing players
When do you call a stall?
The marker reaches the "T" in ten.
A) What does it mean to come under? Or come in?
B) What does it mean to go out?
A) Cut towards the disc/handler
B) Cut deep/away from the handler
Emma throws a huck. Before she throws the disc, an injury is called. What happens next in the following 2 scenarios? a) it was a turnover b) it was completed
Both go back to Emma
The marker hits the disc while it is still in your hand. Is that a foul?
YES!
What is a pick? How close do you need to be to call it? What do you do after it is called?
A pick is a defensive call when the defender needs to change direction or speed to play defense against an offender. 3 meters. Echo and keep playing D.
What is the handler space?
The area around the handler. You will burst into flames if you enter it as a cutter.
We are on defense. The player that Jessica is defending runs through the stack. This prevents Jessica from being able to play defense on her player and calls a pick. What happens if A) the player catches the disc B) the player drops the disc C) the disc is thrown to a different player and they catch the disc D) the disc is thrown to a different player and they don't catch the disc
A) Disc goes back to the thrower
B) turnover
C) doesn't affect? Disc stays
D) turnover
Always play defense on a pick call!
Anytime an infraction is called, the continuation rule applies. What is the continuation rule?
If a call is made when the disc is in the air or the thrower is in the act of throwing or if the thrower fails to acknowledge the call, play continues until the outcome of the pass is determined.
After a marking violation what happens to the count? Examples of marking violation = contact, disc space, double team, vision blocking
The count reached minus 1 (no stalling)?
"All inside," and "no around" are terms used when talking to the person who is the mark. What do these mean?
All inside means there are only cuts coming on the open side. No around means the thrower is looking to throw a break throw.
Keil poaches off to D up a handler cut near the endzone. She bumps the girl and the disc is on the ground. What happens in the following situations: 1) The girl caught the disc but the contact made her drop it. She would have been in the endzone if the contact didn't force her out. 2) The girl would have caught the disc but the contact stopped her from catching it. 3) It is questionable if she would have caught it or not.
1) goal 2) Disc on the endzone line 3) Back to the thrower
What's the count? a) Uncontested defensive foul b) Uncontested offensive foul c) Contested foul d) Offsetting calls e) Unresolved calls

When do you call a double team?
When a defensive player other then the marker is within 3 meters of the disc (without also guarding some other offensive player). However, merely running across an area is not a double team.
What is 4-for-1 cutting?
You can make 4 cuts in 1 cut! You can start anywhere but the progression/flow is the same: deep, under, inside (IO), break
Hard cap sounds. What happens next? There are 2 scenarios.
1) You finish the point. If the teams are tied at the end of the point, the next point is played. It is called universe point. 2) You finish the point. If the teams are not tied at the end of the point, the game is over with the higher point total as the winner.
Any contact that occurs due to the mark setting up in illegal position is a foul on the marker. What is "illegal marking position"?
What is a line between any two points of the marker cannot touch the thrower or is less then 1 disc diameter away from the torso or the pivot of the thrower.
What is the Principle of Verticality?
All Players have the right to enter the space immediately above their torso to make a play on the disc.
