While SportsRecruits and NCSA are both recruiting platforms, each bring unique value to the process:
SportsRecruits is focused on building a user-friendly platform and a strong network. It is best for families who want to steer their own process.
NCSA is focused on personalized coaching and support. It is best suited for families who desire extra support and guidance from an experienced coach in the recruiting process.
How does this affect college coaches at my events?
College coaches will use the EventBeacon app on-site instead of Coach Packet. Like Coach Packet, EventBeacon is free and includes all the core functionality coaches expect (rosters, schedules, and evaluations) while adding the benefit of full integration with SportsRecruits.
The transition will be seamless for college coaches, many of whom are already familiar with EventBeacon. We will provide education to college coaches on how to best utilize EventBeacon.
All Coach Packet events will move to EventBeacon by the end of 2026. Your Event Partnership Specialist at SportsRecruits will guide you through the transition with resources, training, and hands-on support.

This gives student-athletes valuable insights into coach interest that can guide their recruiting decisions, and a layer of transparency that elevates the overall value of your event.

How is the student-athlete information I provide used by SportsRecruits and NCSA? What do they get out of it?
Every student-athlete competing in your events will get a free SportsRecruits profile. Athletes can use the tools on SportsRecruits (video, messaging, profile building) to get organized and showcase themselves. At the event, student-athlete profiles will be accessible to college coaches in EventBeacon alongside real-time schedules and rosters, ensuring the athlete is visible and evaluated during games. Student-athletes can raise their hand to receive personalized recruiting coaching from NCSA. Athletes join a connected ecosystem integrating self serve tools, exposure, and coaching to help them find their best fit.

Is my contract now with SportsRecruits?
Your contract is still with NCSA. The only change is that EventBeacon will replace Coach Packet as the event technology used at your events. To make this shift official, your NCSA account manager will send you a revised agreement, granting SportsRecruits permission to implement EventBeacon at your events.

SportsRecruits will provide a Pro account free of charge to any NCSA premium customer who requests it and are verified as NCSA premium purchasers. SportsRecruits Pro members will not receive a free NCSA profile.
What does SR have to do with EB?
The EventBeacon experience is deeply integrated with the SR platform.
