In this type of theater space the audience sits all around the stage. This is also known as Arena seating. The performers will always be facing and have their back to the audience.

This person designs the lighting for a show. Making sure that the things on stage are seen, setting the atmosphere and time of day for the performance and keeping the performers safe.
Who is the Lighting Designer?
This is also known as a script. Contains dialogue, stage directions, characters, and acts/scenes.

In this theater space the audience sits facing the stage. This is the most traditional type of theater space. The audience can only see what is being presented backstage.

This person oversees the stage crew. This person is second in command to the director, and wears a headset during the performance in order to cue the other backstage crew members.

The role of this person is to help the performers interpret and understand the text. Their main job is to block the stage using stage directions.

In this type of performance there is no dialogue, everything is sung. This is also a style of music. Examples of this performance include Madame Butterfly.
