Small walkway out of sight for actors and technicians to get to the other side
What is a Crossover?
Area where the audience waits before they are seated

Type of Theatre where the Audience is on all sides
What is Theatre in the Round?
The audience must believe that this has never happened before
What is Illusion of the First Time?
Ensures that various departments have what they need
What is the Technical Director?
Area to the side of the stage where set and prop pieces are stored
What is the Wings?
Area where you can buy tickets and the money is kept
What is the Box Office?
Type of Theater where the audience is on three sides
The level of clarity in an actor's voice, whether or not you can understand him/her
What is diction?
Finalizes all financial decisions for the production. Hires production crew members
What is the Producer?
Room where the actors wait for their entrance
What is the Greenroom?
A counter weight system run by pulleys used to lower curtains and set pieces
What is the Fly System?
Type of Theatre where the audience is on one side. A traditional theatre
What is a proscenium?
What happens before the actor walks onstage
What is the Moment Before?
Responsible for the creative vision of the play. Blocks actors
What is the Director?
Room where the actors get into costume
What is the Dressing Room?
Small walkway high in the ceiling where the lights are focused
What is the Cat Walk?
Type of Theatre where the stage and audience can be moved
What is a black box theater?
Usually only has one performer who does not talk at all
What is Mime?
Responsible for designing all of the lights and effects in the play
What is the Lighting Designer?
Room where the technical equipment is kept
What is the Control Booth?
Runs production meetings. Communicates between director, production members and actors
What is the Stage Manager?
Responsible for designing all of the costumes, hair and make up
