Jesus is raised on the wooden 'staff' of the Cross just like the Bronze Serpent, looking at Jesus on the Cross and understanding what He has done for us also heals our wounds, just like the Bronze Serpent healed the wounds of those who had been bitten in the desert.

The Catholic church is the only Christian denomination that is founded by Jesus Christ Himself, and holds an unbroken line of authority from Jesus to Peter onward, furthermore the Christian faith only survived due to the traditions of the early church which was Catholic.
