God the Father, God the Son (Jesus), and God the Holy Spirit
What are the Old Testament and New Testament about?
The Old Testament is before Jesus was born - it's about God, the Nation of Israel, and His rescue plan for the whole world.
The New Testament is after Jesus was born - it's about Jesus fulfilling the promises God made in the Old Testament.
What does it mean to belong to God?
It means that God loves us, takes care of us, and calls us His children. When we believe in Jesus, we become part of His family.
Why did God make people?
To glorify and enjoy Him forever.
What does the word "Gospel" mean?

Who wrote the Bible?
There were about 40 different human authors who wrote it over more than 1,00 years. God “inspired” every word they wrote though.
How is the Church like a family?
Just like a family loves, cares for, and helps each other, the church is a place where people who believe in Jesus support and encourage one another in their faith.
How are people different from everything else God created?
Humans are special because we have both a body and a soul, and we are made in God’s image. This means we can think, show, and act like God in a special way.
What is a theologian?
Someone who has words about God
How can we have the Holy Spirit in our hearts?
The Holy Spirit comes to live in our hearts when we believe in Jesus and what he did for us.
What does it mean that God inspired people to write the Bible?
God told them what to write. The Bible says exactly what God wanted it to say.
What is the Church?
The Church is the family of God made up of people who believe in Jesus. It is led by Jesus and filled with the Holy Spirit.
What does it mean to be made in God’s image?
We know that He made us like Him. Everything about us is perfectly made by God so that we can be like Him.
Why should we learn theology?
It helps us to learn to know God better and love Him more
Why did God make us?
Because He wanted to.
He wanted us to know Him, love Him, and glorify Him (show how great He is).
Why do we read the Bible?
It helps us to know and love God more and live according to what He says is right.
Why is it important to be part of a Church?
Because God made us to be together to learn about Him, worship Him, and help each other grow in our faith.
Why is Jesus called the true image-bearer of God?
Jesus perfectly shows the world who God is. While he was on earth, he perfectly lived the way God would have and wanted him to.
Why is prayer important in theology?
Because we need God's help to understand Him. We ask Him to teach us as we learn.
How does the Holy Spirit help us?
Lots of ways! Like working in our heart to encourage, comfort, and guide us
How does the Holy Spirit help us with reading the Bible?
He helps us to understand the Bible and how it applies to our lives. He helps us to live out what the Bible says.
What are the two kinds of Church?
The "Universal Church" is made up of all people who believe in Jesus, from all places and times. The local church is a group of believers who meet together in a specific place, like our church here!
What is the job of humans?
To show God’s glory to everything He created. We are meant to reflect who God is in everything we do.
We all have ways that we can do the work of God - even kids. Even simple tasks, like cleaning or helping someone, can show God’s glory. When we do our best and work with love, other people can see what God is like through us.
