What is oral tradition?
A set of beliefs and practices concerning the cause, nature and purpose of the universe agreed upon by a group of people
What is religion?
Any deliberate offense, in thought, word or deed, against the will of God.
What is sin?
The aspect of a human being that is made in God's image.
What is a soul?
The doctrine that the books of the Bible are free from error regarding the truth that God wishes to reveal for the sake of our salvation
What is biblical inerrancy?
The approach to the Bible that uses literal interpretation without regard to the historical or cultural context.
What is the fundamentalist approach?
Belief in God or in the doctrines and teachings of religion that is not based on proof.
What is faith?
A state of eternal life and union with God in which one experiences full happiness and the satisfaction of the deepest human longings.

What is Hebrew?
This preserves God's saving words and deeds in writing.
What is written tradition?
One's "inner voice" guided by human reason and Divine Law; enables us to make good moral judgments.

The original state of Adam and Eve before the Fall, a state of complete harmony.

The source of our complete fulfillment, found only in our union with God.
What is ultimate good?
The seven examples of this are: Judith, Tobit, Baruch, Sirach, Wisdom, 1 Maccabees and 2 Maccabees.
What are deuterocanonical books?
This interpretation of the Bible takes into account the various contexts for understanding; historical and cultural background, literary forms and the senses of Scripture, for example.
