No, a converter is used when you are hooked up to shore power at a campground and it converts your 110 volt AC power down to 12 volt DC power to keep your house batteries fully charged. On the other hand, an inverter is used when you are not on shore power and want to use 110v for something like a coffee maker, microwave or television and this inverts your power from 12v DC power to 110v AC power.

What is an engine brake and how does it work?
When the accelerator pedal gets released, the air intake valve is closed and a vacuum is created, which prevents air flow from getting to the cylinders. There’s a decrease in energy that starts to create a braking force, which helps slow down a vehicle by lowering the engine speed, or RPMs.
Resistance in the engine is transferred through the drivetrain to the wheels. Some of the braking force produced is from friction in the drive train, but most of it is caused by the vacuum that was created from the lack of air.
The result is a process that helps slow down a vehicle without the use of a footbrake.

Automatic Traction Control - The traction control system (TCS) is a safety system that detects when a car’s wheel slips and loses its grip on the road. The system then automatically slows the slipping wheel’s speed.
Mobileye Sensor Detection - The system continuously monitors the road ahead and utilizes artificial intelligence to analyze potential hazards. When a threat is detected, Mobileye warns with both visual and audio alerts.
Electronic Stability Control - Electronic stability control (ESC), also referred to as electronic stability program (ESP) or dynamic stability control (DSC), is a computerized technology[1][2] that improves a vehicle's stability by detecting and reducing loss of traction (skidding).[3] When ESC detects loss of steering control, it automatically applies the brakes to help steer the vehicle where the driver intends to go. Braking is automatically applied to wheels individually, such as the outer front wheel to counter oversteer, or the inner rear wheel to counter understeer. Some ESC systems also reduce engine power until control is regained. ESC does not improve a vehicle's cornering performance; instead, it helps reduce the chance of the driver losing control of the vehicle.
Adaptive Cruise Control - Adaptive cruise control (ACC) is a system designed to help road vehicles maintain a safe following distance and stay within the speed limit. This system adjusts a car's speed automatically so drivers don't have to.
Collision Mitigation System - A Collision Mitigation System is an important driver-assist technology that can detect a potential front end collision and reduce potential impact by sending warnings to the driver to apply the brakes.
