Tell her you are a mandatory reporter. Provide her with counseling options, information on filing police report, and offer to take her to the TIX Coordinator. You then inform your supervisor or the TIX Coordinator. Even though this happened off campus, OU has jurisdiction.

Before you can tell a student that you are a mandatory reporter, he blurts out that he thinks that he was slipped a date-rape drug at a party last week. He only thinks this because he felt drunker than he normally would have after two beers. When he realizes you might have to report a potential "roofying situation" he begs you not to tell because he is afraid he will get in trouble for drinking. Do you need to tell? Can you mitigate this?
1. OU has an amensty policy. 2. You can make a John/ Doe report in some cases. 3. This is a safety of the community issue; let TIX office determine if it is an issue.

You and your BFF and fellow coach go to lunch one day. He then tells you that he has a crush on you. You tell him that's great, but you are not interested and do not want to ruin the friendship or professional relationship you have. He then keeps texting you. You do not tell him to stop, but you don't reply. He comes to all of your games and waits for you afterward. You always get in your car and go home without saying much to him. He starts to show up at your practices. You may nod and say hi, but you do not talk to him. You still aren't answering his texts. Is this sexual harassment?
Everyone gets points because the answer is ... it depends. Would a REASONABLE PERSON know that this was unwanted interaction? Was it persistent? Was it severe? This is the standard by which we judge.

When your athlete is involved in a TIX investigation, are you entitled to know the outcome?
Most likely you can know the outcome for YOUR athlete. However, FERPA does not allow you to know the outcome of the other party. This is because FERPA only allows information to be given to employees who need to know the information.

He says that these are professional pictures and have no sexual overtones. You disagree, but ask others for their opinion. Nobody agrees with you. Is this sexual harassment?
