A concerned church member told Tituba to make a witch cake to reveal the identity of the person who was tormenting the girls. Tituba followed the church member’s instructions. She mixed the girls’ urine with rye meal to make a small cake, and then fed it to the family dog. When she was finished, the girls revealed that it was Tituba tormenting them.

Who got in Trouble for her "Crimes"?
March 1693, Tituba attempted to take back her confession. She admitted to lying to protect herself from execution and blamed Rev. Parris for forcing her into it, probably in an attempt to end the witch hunt hysteria that ended in so many deaths and caused so much destruction in the community. Although Salem residents did not believe her new confession, they blamed Parris for being overzealous.
