In the Middle of the night, Mrs. Maudie's house caught fire, and started to burn down. Jem and Scout had to leave because of the fear that the fire would spread to their house.

When Jem and Scout return to their house, Jem starts to ramble. During his rambling, he reveals everything about the "Knot Tree." He told about the soap bars and the coins. I can relate to this event from when my sibling has told on me after we made an agreement to keep it secret.

I predict that Scout or Jem probably taken the blanket quickly from the knot-hole to wrap themselves with it. They probably do not remember or realize it because it was the middle of the night and they were rushed out the house from Miss Maudie's house catching on fire.
Have you ever been in a situation like Scout and Francis were in when Francis started something and then Scout got in trouble for it?
Francis started an argument with Scout and when Scout argued back, Scout was the one to get in trouble for it. Scout did not even get to say her side of the story. I was in a similar situation once when my brother started an argument with me and then I got in trouble for it. When my mom told us to stop, she only let my brother say his side of the story and then I got in trouble for it.

During the chapter, Aunt Alexandra said that scout acts more like a guy than a gal. She was in the kitchen, and didn't want to cook. Aunt Alexandra took that as her being more as a boy than a girl.

Scout said her and Jem viewed Christmas with mixed feelings. She said the best part was the tree and Uncle Jack Finch. My thoughts on Christmas are also mixed. I like how the family gets together and I can see some family I do not get to see that often. The problem is my family can just get very loud and obnoxious, so that is why I have a mixed of feelings. I can say though, that it is nice to stay warm in the house spending time with the people you love
