From your experience would you react similar or differently from the way Jem reacted to the snow?

Where we live we see snow often during the winter months, so we would not try as hard to get as much snow as possible, like Jem.

100

What is the name of the person that Atticus is defending?

Atticus is defending Tom Robinson.

100

What did Jem want to do in the snow?

Jem wanted to build a snowman.

100

How do you think the fire started?

I think the fire started by Miss Maudie because she said that she wanted to burn her house down for a while and she claimed not to like it. When this happened it was a little past 1 AM, so no one would know if she did it.

100

Do you have a relationship with any of your family members like Scout and her uncle Jack and what is it like?

Yes, Sam loves her Aunt Sarabeth and they have a strong bond together. They are with each other 3 times a week and tell each other everything. This is like Scout and Uncle Jacks relationship because they fool around and have a similar sense of humor.

200

How did Mr. Radley say Mrs. Radley died?

Mr. Radley said Mrs. Radley died of natural causes.

200

Why did Scout choose to walk away from the fight?

Scout walked away from the fight because she did not want to let Atticus down.

200

Why did Atticus wake up Scout?

Atticus woke up Scout because there was a fire.

200

What do you think Scout and Jem thought when they figured out Boo Radley gave them the blanket?

Scout was initially sacred and creeped out because it happened without her knowing. Jem regretted not being able to look at him and see him before Atticus told him not to, he began to think of ways to mess with Boo again.

200

How would you react if your house was on fire like Miss Maudie's house?

Miss Maudie was the opposite of all of our reactions. If our house was on fire we would be worried and our adrenalin would kick in because all of our stuff is inside and we would lose it. We would run out with our pets and stay away from the fire especially in the middle of the night like Miss Maudie's.

300

Why does Scout think that the snow is hot when it lands on her tongue?

Scout thinks the snow is hot because it is so cold that it burns.

300

What did the beginning of last September bring on?

The beginning of last September brought sinking spells, dizziness, and mild gastric complaints.

300

What plant did Mrs. Radley water before she died?

Mrs. Radley watered her cannas before she died.

300

Why do you think Scout found Francis boring during the Christmas party?

I think Scout found Francis boring during the Christmas party because Jem is adventurous and fun. Those are the kinds of kids she is used to being around, not a kid that is well behaved and polite.

300

How might others be able to relate to Scout when she's being told to act like a proper girl?

Other can relate to Scout because many other girls are expected to act a certain way in society or in their family to be accepted.
