A reward given when someone shows one of the UD core values
What is a TLC?
When a situate escalates to the point of staff calling for help on the walkie talkie
What is a code?
A core value focused on taking initiative and being a positive example
What is leadership?
A way to earn a TLC within the first 5 minutes of the class period
What is completing the warm up?
Writing on a desk, or going on blocked websites
What is misuse of property?
A reward given when an entire homeroom shows the core values
What is a Team TLC?
Cursing or offensive comments directed AT another student or staff member
What is abusive language?
A core value focused on active listening and expressing yourself appropriately
What is communication?
A required item for those who want to listen to music when they aren't working directly with a teacher
What are headphones?
The teacher's second step after a warning when a student has minor misbehavior
What is a restorative conversation?
The staff member who exchanges TLCs for goodies or lunch coupons
Who is Xiomara?
If a student has a level 2/3 infraction, SSS will FIRST schedule this type of meeting to fully understand the challenge
What is a parent meeting?
The members of the UD community expected to show TLC
Who is everyone?
A statement given by a teacher to remind students about classroom expectations when they aren't being met
What is a warning?
Cursing or offensive actions to or near other students or staff
What is disrespectful language or gestures?
The winning prize for each trimester's UD cup winner
What is a trip of your choice?
When a situation is resolved through the formal help of someone from SSS
What is a mediation?
The UD mission, summarized as three words beginning with the letter "E"
What is energize, engage and empower?
What we call electronics when they are taking too much attention from learning
What is a distraction?
Ignoring directions given by staff
What is insubordination?
A special event that can earn you points towards UD Cup
