Yes, a customer can add a new employee without their email address. But it will need to be added in later in order for the employee to login and complete their onboarding paperwork.
How can a customer set up an employee to be paid out of multiple Pay Groups?
Positions are tied to pay groups, so the customer would need to add a secondary position in order to pay an employee out of multiple pay groups.
What is a recurring earning/deduction vs. a one time earning/deduction?
A recurring earning or deduction will appear on every payroll run. Recurring earnings are typically the employee's pay types such as Salary, Regular (hourly), Tips, etc.
What is an example of a static security role in Toast Payroll?
HR+, Manager, Employee

No, only the employee can fill out section 1 of their I-9 form.
