Explain the steps to ordering fractions using cross multiplication.
First, compare each fraction to the other fractions by using cross-multiplication (ie. Is the first fraction smaller or bigger than the second fraction, is the second fraction smaller or bigger than the last fraction, and is the first fraction smaller or bigger than the last fraction?).
Next, circle the bigger fraction in each of the comparisons (circle the ones that "won").
Last, look at which fraction was not circled at all (least), which fraction was circled once (middle), and which fraction was circled twice (greatest). Then, put them in order from least to greatest.
