What was one action taken at the First Continental Congress? 

  • They wrote a petition to King George III, respectfully asking him to repeal the Intolerable Acts and recognize the colonies’ right to govern themselves.

  • They called for a boycott of British goods and a ban on exporting goods to Britain, hoping to pressure Parliament economically.
