When the customer refuses to release a vehicle and refuses to authorize State Farm to move the vehicle, the following steps are needed to make sure that we are mitigating storage. 

Provide the customer the last day for storage.

Advise the customer:

- Contact us once the vehicle is released.

- If there are excess storage fees, we will coordinate with them to pay their portion of storage charges prior to arranging the pick-up of the vehicle.

- Once they have released their vehicle, it may take time to pick-up the vehicle based on vendor availability. We will pay any additional charges after their release date.

Send the Storage/Rental/Mitigation Letter and Storage Mitigation text if applicable.

Document what we owe in a Pending File note.

Update the Last Day Storage field in ECS with the date provided to the customer.
