How long is AIT?
The amount of time you spend in AIT depends on which MOS you choose. Some jobs require 6 weeks of training, and some even require up to a full year

Prior to departing for Basic Combat Training (BCT), each newly enlisted service member will be provided a travel packet by their Recruiter. The provided travel packet will contain copies of the service member’s training orders, travel itinerary, Pre-Basic Task List, and other essentials pertinent for traveling to BCT.

Yes, it is called the "Buddy System". However, it is not guaranteed that you will be in the same company at basic training or AIT.
Can I pick where I get stationed?
There is no way to determine where you could get stationed. Your duty assignments are based on the needs of the Army, so it all depends on your Job, Rank, and availability in that area.
What is the Army Married Couples Program?
The Army Married Couples Programs allows husbands and wives to serve in the Army often at the same Army post. A spouse can enlist whether the other spouse is in the Army or another branch of service provided they have no children under the age of 18. If children are involved, the couple is required to obtain a waiver that can only be processed if the spouse that is on active duty is qualified in their specialty and at a duty assignment.

If I fail the ASVAB on the first try, how long before I can test again?
After your first test you are authorized two additional retests 30 days apart from the last one. Retesting after that may be given no earlier than at 6-month intervals (basically; test, 30 days, 30 days, 6 months).
How long is OCS training?
The 12 week long courses mission is to train and commission 2d Lieutenants for the U.S. Army. A competent OCS cadre trains candidates on the fundamentals of leadership and basic military skills, instill Army values, professional ethics, and officer ship, and will evaluate their leadership potential.

What is FLRI?
The Foreign Language Recruiting Initiative (FLRI) is available for Active Duty and Army Reserve applicants without prior service whose primary language is not English. Applicants will enlist in an unassigned MOS of 09C and after completion of English Language Training, Soldiers will attend a two week GT (general tech) prep course and retest on the ASVAB.
If you participate in JROTC, what rank will you enlist as?
Having participated in JROTC, it will increase your Rank/Pay Grade when you go to enlist. If you participate in the program for two (2) or more years, you can enter as a Private (PVT) E-2.
What is direct Commissioning?
The U.S. Army Direct Commissioning Program is for those who ALREADY possess certain specialized skills who can step directly into one of the three (3) fields that the program encompasses; U.S. Army's Medical Corps (AMEDD), JAG Corps and Chaplain's Corps.
