What is the purpose of an IEP?

An IEP is a tailored educational road map developed by a team including parents, teachers, and specialists that ensures that students receive specialized instruction, services, and accommodations.

What is a case manager?

A case manager coordinates support for students and acts as a liaison between parents, teachers, and support services to ensure needs are met, often by implementing and monitoring an IEP (Individualized Education Program). Each student at Newmark has a case manager from their school district.

What is an accommodation?

Accommodations are changes in how a student learns. They remove barriers so students can learn the same material as their peers and meet the academic standards that states set for each grade level.
