Gross Vehicle Weight Rating.
It's part of how we define what's commercial and what isn't.
Class A: Can drive any combination of vehicles with a gross combination weight rating (GCWR) over 26,001 pounds, including large tractor-trailers.
Class B: Can drive single vehicles with a GVWR over 26,001 pounds, but cannot tow a trailer exceeding 10,000 pounds.
Class C: Can drive vehicles that are not considered Class A or B, but are either designed to transport 16 or more passengers or carry hazardous materials.
