Lots of things! Choice, honesty, humor, listening, having enough time to finish, conversations that are spontaneous, conversations that happen at the same time every week, talking with different people, getting a fresh perspective, hearing someone say something that you believe out loud, etc.

Yes, very often this is true. People who have experienced trauma are often very good at dealing with dangerous situations, and can be very good at noticing how other people are feeling, just to name a few examples.
