What is the trauma activation level?
67 yo female complaining of R hand pain and L foot pain s/p accident at work. Upon exam at triage desk R hand has loss of pulse and a tourniquet is found on the bicep. R first and second fingers are degloved. L foot is in a shoe which appears bloody. Upon assessment the L foot is removed from the shoe and blood is noted to shoot from where the great toe is and the toe is mangled. Pressure is applied and continues to have significant blood loss despite the pressure dressing.
Tourniquet is applied and blood shooting out of the foot. Uncontrolled bleeding.
