What are hematomas?
Injuries that should be wrapped and placed on ice while avoiding freezing or immersion in water.
What are avulsions and amputations?
Hypotension, Hematemesis, Melena, Hematochezia
What are signs of internal bleeding?
Do not attempt to stop this bleed.
What is bleeding from the ear?
Insulating layer of skin that dwindles as we age.
What is the subcutaneous layer?
An injury that results in obstructed blood flow and pain out of proportion to the injury.
What is Compartment Syndrome?
Treatment includes moist sterile dressing and occlusive dressings (not including sucking chest wounds)

Vasoconstriction, platelet aggregation, fibrinogen to fibrin.
What is hemostasis?
Creates tautness and has a higher likelihood of bleeding when cut perpendicularly
What are tension lines?
Results in necrotic tissue and a foul-smelling gas.
What is gangrene?
Treatment includes covering the injury with a plastic cup.
