Who carried out India’s biggest daylight bank robbery? 

The Punjab National Bank, Miller Gunj branch, Ludhiana was robbed more than Rs 5.70 crore (58 million rupees-$4.5 million) by Shaheed Bhai Harjinder Singh Jinda, Bhai Sukhdev Singh Sukha, General Labh Singh and other members of Khalistan Commando Force (KCF). 

Their idea was to use these public funds stored in Indian banks, against Indian Security forces. They highlighted the helplessness of the Government's forces to do anything about their efforts to gain a Sikh Homeland and to avenge the attack on Sikhi's most venerated site, Darbar Sahib. As well, to avenge the deaths of not only those Gursikhs who gave Shaheedi that day, but also for the unknown numbers of innocent pilgrims and visitors to Harmandir Sahib who were murdered during and after the attack.
