What is ClientWorks?
The role within Business Transitions is advisor facing and welcomes them to LPL shortly after the Conversion Consultant does in the conversion timeline. This role trains advisors on LPL's systems, conducts various trainings, hosts office hours, and continues to support these advisors until they move along to their service team.
What is a Transition Support Partner?
You'll frequently visit this Sharepoint site during this training period. It includes your weekly resources. It will have the training recordings, it's also where you'll be able to locate scavenger hunts, knowledge checks, and weekly worksheets.
What is the BTP Training site?
Business Transition's "one stop shop" website. It includes department announcements, descriptions of each of the specialized teams, team member profiles, and other resources that you can use to prepare for tool demonstrations and your conversions.
What is the Hub?
This is the name of the team within business transitions that specializes in transitions of advisor business through Mergers & Acquisitions and strategic partnerships.
What is Large Event Transitions (LET)?
You'll use this system when conducting trainings for your pod as well as office hours demonstrations if necessary. You may even use it for meetings with individual advisors. It mimics the live ClientWorks environment, but advisors won't have access to it on their own.
What is the ClientWorks training site?
This website is used by all of LPL. (It may be your default starter page). It is updated daily with LPL news, it has career development resources, and usually has a message from Dan Arnold (our CEO) on the home page.
What is LPL@Work?
The two main (most common) advisor facing roles within the Large Event Transitions Team (LET). They work closely with each other and present biweekly calls to advisors together.
Who are the Conversion Consultants and Transition Support Partners?
These bookend your week. You'll take a practice form of them on Monday and then once again on Friday where the results will be recorded. There are designed to show your progress each week.
What are the knowledge checks?
This site allows our team to access shared folders with important documents, PowerPoints, and other resources.
What is Box?
This role within the Large Event Transitions Team delivers consultative service to the advisors within their "POD". While the TSPs focus is more on training on tools/ systems, this role delivers transition related information like deadlines and other important announcements.
What is a Conversion Consultant?
These outline your course work for the week. When you are not in instructor-led classes, we have outlined focus areas to study independently in these.
What are the weekly worksheets?
This cloud-based site allows our team to work collaboratively on projects. It is most often used for speadsheets so that more than one person can edit at once.
What is Smartsheet?
This team helps with researching various types of questions and solves challenging problems. They aren't advisor facing. TSPs and CCs might email them a question after not being able to find the answer in systems like iKnow and the Resource Center.
Who is the Solution Center?
This training series will be conducted on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays at 11:30 AM PST/ 2:30 PM EST.
