You would expect to see these symptoms in a LMN bladder instead of an UMN bladder.
What is:
LMN Bladder results in failure to empty, a big hypotonic bladder, and a tight sphincter.
Tx with I.C. regimen. Found with Spinal Shock, Conus Medullaris Sx, Cauda Equina Sx Tabes Dorsalis, Pernicious Anemia, Syringomyelia, & MS.
UMN bladder is failure to store. This results in a small, hyperreflexic, overactive, little bladder. Tx with ditropan, detrol, etc... Found in CVA, MS, & SCI (after initial trauma).
