ABNORMAL START
*1. CONDITION lever — FUEL CUTOFF (note ITT decrease).
*2. ENGINE START switch — OFF.
In the event of a hot start or a hung start:
*3. ENGINE START switch — STARTER ONLY (for the remainder of the 40 seconds).
Do not attempt another engine start until ITT is below 300 °C.
In the event that there is no light off after the CONDITION lever is brought to LOW IDLE, wait 60 seconds, then:
4. ENGINE START switch — STARTER ONLY (minimum 15 seconds, maximum 40 seconds).
Starter is limited to 40 seconds on, 60 seconds off, 40 seconds on, 60 second
ENGINE FAILURE AFTER TAKEOFF
If an engine failure occurs after takeoff, proceed as follows:
*1. Power — Maximum allowable.
*2. Gear — UP.
*3. Airspeed — Accelerate to Vxse or Vyse.
†*4. Propeller (inoperative engine) — Confirm auto feather or FEATHER (PM).
*5. Flaps — UP.
*6. Emergency Shutdown Checklist — Perform
SPIN RECOVERY
*1. POWER levers — IDLE.
*2. Ailerons — Neutralize.
*3. Control Wheel — Rapidly move forward.
*4. Rudder — Full deflection opposite the direction of the spin.
*5. Rudder — Neutralize once rotation has stopped.
*6. Execute a smooth pullout.
SINGLE ENGINE WAVEOFF/APPROACH
*1. Power — Maximum allowable.
*2. PROP lever – Full Forward.
*3. Pitch — Establish positive rate of climb (7 to 10° up).
*4. Airspeed — VXSE or VYSE.
*5. Gear — UP.
*6. Flaps — UP
EMERGENCY SHUTDOWN ON DECK
*1. Aircraft — Stop.
*2. Parking brake — Set.
*3. CONDITION lever(s) — FUEL CUTOFF (PM).
In case of fire, fuel leak, or at TPC discretion, continue the checklist. Otherwise, secure remaining engine using
Paragraph 7.7.2 Secure Checklist.
*4. PROP levers — FEATHER (PM).
*5. -F- Firewall valves — CLOSED.
*5. -M- FIRE PULL handle (affected engine) — Pull (PM).
Note
-M- If both FIRE PULL handles are pulled, both fire extinguishers will fire
when the PUSH-TO-EXTINGUISH button is pressed.
*6. Engine fire extinguisher — As required (PM).
*7. -M- FIRE PULL handle (remaining engine) — Pull (PM).
*8. AUX BATT switch — OFF.
*9. Gangbar — Off.
ABORTED TAKEOFF
*1. POWER levers — IDLE/REVERSE as required
2. Brakes — As required
Prior to departing the prepared surface:

After aircraft stops:

DITCH/FORCED LANDING(AIRCREW)

*3. Survival radio — Retrieve and stow in pocket.

BRAKE FAILURE
In the event of wheelbrake failure, proceed as follows:
1. Maintain directional control with rudder and asymmetrical power.
2. Try the other crewmember’s brakes.
3. Stop the aircraft using propeller reversing.
If possible, maneuver into an open area and allow the aircraft to stop. Do not attempt to taxi the aircraft
