It is hard to remember to use coping skills when your lid has already been flipped!! Coping skills are the MOST effective BEFORE you flip your lid!
Edward has a big project that he has not started and it is due in two days, he wants to rush through it and hand it in even though it is sloppy and incorrect, is that a good idea? What can he do instead?
It's not a good idea to wait until the last minute to complete a project; Edward could ask the teacher for more time to complete the project, he could ask the teacher for help, etc..
