When asked to choose authenticity or attachment, most people will choose authenticity (being our true selves). Those who choose attachment are more likely to develop a substance use disorder.

Uhm, actually...when people are asked to choose between attachment or authenticity, they will always choose attachment, but we shouldn't be asked to choose.
