At this famous Washington, D.C. museum, Mr. Risk taught us the science behind the early flights of the Wright brothers, space exploration, and dinosaurs.

What is The Smithsonian Museum?

At the Petersen Museum in Los Angeles, I saw hundreds of these machines that rely on chemical reactions to run.

What are cars?

In our static electricity investigation lab, the balloon became this charge when rubbed on the fur.

What is negative?

200

In the separating a solution lab, we separated this substance from water to prove that a solution is not permanent.

What is salt?

200

At the Hillier Aviation Museum, I was able to go inside the cockpit of this famous commercial aircraft.

What is the Boeing 747-100?

200

This lab used a real-world example to demonstrate Boyle's law in action.

What is the Lung Simulation Lab?

300

In Charles's law lab, we proved that as temperature increases, so will this, assuming pressure remains constant.

What is volume?

300

In this museum, I saw a B-29 Superfortress bomber, the largest bomber of WWII.

What is the Nebraska Strategic Air Command & Aerospace Museum?

In the lab," Dalton's law of partial pressures", when baking soda and vinegar reacted together, they caused the balloon to undergo this physical change.

What is to inflate?
400

In the pH acid and base lab, the red litmus paper turned this color when in contact with a base.

  What is blue?

400

I was able to see an SR-71 Blackbird aircraft in the Nebraska Strategic Air Command and Aerospace Museum. The Blackbird aircraft is able to appear as small as a bird on radar due to this unique design quality.

What are angled and non-vertical surfaces?

400

This science technique, which we explored in a lab, separates mixtures into individual components.

What is Chromotography?

500

In the color change lab, we learned that vitamin C splits this brown colored substance into colorless ions, creating an instant color change effect.

What is Iodine?

500

At the Henry Ford Museum in Dearborn, Michigan, I stood inside this 603-ton steam locomotive built in 1941.

What is the Allegheny locomotive?

500

In the "Rising Water Lab," we observed as water in a dish rose up and filled a glass. This temperature-related physical change caused the reaction.
