This has led to some iconic onomatopoeia including SNIKT, the sound of Wolverine's claws, FHOOF, the sound of Nightcrawler teleporting, and THWIP, the sound of Spider-Man's webbing.

Um, actually, Nightcrawler's teleportation noise is described with the onomatopoeia BAMF.
