It is available via:
- Microsoft Azure
- Amazon Web Services
- Google Cloud Platform
- Alibaba Cloud (for Chinese customers only)
- SAP DCs for Neo (if multi cloud is not an option) and CF (per strict exception)
Which Hyperscalers support SAP Cloud Platform?
It s a comprehensive solution to deliver data-driven innovation and intelligence across the enterprise, unifying scalable Enterprise AI and intelligent information management. Built out of SAP Data Hub (DH), it adds machine learning functionality with end-to-end lifecycle management capabilities.
What is SAP Data Intelligence (DI)?
It is a bundle of services helping customers to improve their business process productivity with excellence, transform paper-based processes into digital assets, provide intelligent automation of structured workflows, decisions and tasks, optimize with process intelligence and insight to action and improve business process experience and flexibility.
What is SAP Intelligent Business Process Management (iBPM)?
A credit-based commercial model to license SAP Cloud Platform (CP). Prepaid credits are deducted from the customer’s account when activating and consuming CP services.
What is the Cloud Platform Enterprise Agreement (CPEA)?
It is our new approach for agile and enterprise data warehousing in the cloud. It will not replace BW/4HANA, but it will provide a new modern approach for data warehousing in the cloud.
Is SAP Data Warehouse Cloud (DWC) replacing SAP BW/4HANA?
It is a collaborative initiative between SAP, Microsoft and Global Strategic Service Providers (GSSPs) to help our customers transition from on-premise ECC to S/4HANA on cloud.
What is the Embrace program?
It is a complete automation suite where software robots mimic humans by (e.g.):
- Replacing manual clicks
- Interpreting text-heavy communications
- make process suggestions for repeatable business processes
What is Intelligent Robotic Process Automation (iRPA)?
Two public whitepapers of in total 139 pages explain all the options to our customers, but in short, for cloud-cloud or cloud-onpremise integrations use Cloud Platform Integration (CPI), for onpremise-onpremise use SAP Process Orchestration (PO). For external integration (B2B, B2G) use CPI or Cloud Platform API Management.
Which integration tool is best suited for which integration scenario?
It allows CP developers to create SAC dashboards and visualizations as part of a CP application. The solution has some limitations over SAC Enterprise Edition.
What is SAP Analytics Cloud, Embedded edition?
It has only 1 version with all available engines embedded. There will be no editions (standard or enterprise) or individual upsell of engines.
What are the licensing options for SAP HANA Cloud (HC)?
Yes, for example:
- Rapid Application Development (RAD) on SAP Cloud Platform
- Adobe Forms on SAP Cloud Platform
- Extended ECM on Opentext Cloud

Are there P&T 3PS/SolEx solutions that can be sold in the cloud?
One is the evolution of the other.
X was created and released in Q2 2019 by combining SAP Leonardo Machine Learning Foundation (MLF) and Y. Today X is only available as a cloud product.
The on-premise version of X (expected end of Q1 2020) will replace Y.
How does Data Intelligence (DI) relate to Data Hub (DH)?
It aims to simplify access to APIs and data from our LoB solutions. It’s a unified and curated API layer to retrieve and interact with main business objects across the entire landscape, regardless which LoB solution maintains it.
What is SAP Graph?
The credits used to power the individual technical components of the solution (CPU, storage, memory, pipelines, …), currently used to license HANA Cloud, Data Warehouse Cloud and Data Intelligence.
What are Capacity Units (CUs)?
HANA Service will be supported for current customers as per existing contracts, but new customers can no longer buy this solution after Q2 2020.
SAP will provide migration services for existing customers in H1 2020
How does SAP HANA Cloud (HC) relate to HANA Service and HANA Neo?
Customers building applications on CP CF can consume HS services by leveraging the Open Service Broker (OSB). Via the OSB, a developer can activate and deactivate HS services in the underlying platform and consume them in their CP application.
Can customers leverage native Hyperscaler services in CP?
It has been removed from the price list as of October 14, 2019, though it can be sold till end of this year.
To fill the gap, the download/usage rights to APL are now included in the latest SAP HANA 2.0 SPS04 release.
What is the roadmap of SAP Predictive Analytics Suite (PAS)?
Intelligent technologies (ML, chatbot, automation, …) are already embedded and included in our LoB solutions. These packages are offerings that augment these capabilities to activate additional, custom use cases, priced as a % of the underlying solution.
What are Intelligent Technologies Packages?
The four steps are:
- Identify the different use cases, together with the expected usage
- Draft an architecture with the CP services to support the use cases
- Draft a BOM with the individual services
- Size each item based on the usages of the use cases
How to size a CPEA deal?
