How can you identify the difference between a regular and and irregular verb? (think about the different parts to a verb.)

An irregular verb has a change in its stem in at least one of its many conjugations.

A regular verb will never have a stem change when conjugated. So, we use the "two-step method" to conjugate them. (1. drop the ending 2. add new ending)
