Qualitative
This type of variable changes as a result of your experiment. It's what is measured at the end.
What is a dependent variable?
This type of graph is used when time is involved. The order of the x axis is very important here.
What is a line graph?
This part of a CER should be only one sentence long, and states the conclusion to your experiment.
This sentence is an example of one: I have seen Eileen the Skeleton wear sunglasses every day.
What is an observation?
There were no colonies of bacteria grown in the lab.
Quantitative
This type of variable doesn't change at all. It is kept constant in every experiment trial.
This type of graph is used when the data can be split into categories or groups. The order of the x axis does not matter here.
