Describe the Tinker Vs DeMoines case and state what the supreme court decided. 

Students decided to wear black arm bands to school to fast for December 16 and the new year. They got sent home from school for wearing the armbands. The student's sued the school for violating rights of expression. The district case dismissed the case and said the school district actions were reasonable. The court overruled the district court and said that the kids could wear the armbands. Violation of the 1st amendment.
