Planned Obsolescence: A company that makes light bulbs. Instead of making bulbs that last a really long time, they design them to burn out after about a year.
Perceived Obsolescence: think about the latest water bottle that just came out. Your water bottle works perfectly fine, but everyone at school has the new trending one. You start to feel like your water bottle is old and outdated, even though it's not.
