The current Imam chooses the next one and it is always a male from his family.

The Prophet saw Angel Gibrail and he was asked to recite. The first revelation was revealed to him and the Prophet was very frightened. He ran home and told his wife Bibi Khadija who believed him.
What does the term Tawwakul mean?
To have COMPLETE TRUST in Allah

All of our Imams are from the family of the Prophet. They have been chosen from his family since Imam Ali.
Explain what transcendent means for Muslims and why it is important?
The hereafter. For Muslims, we believe in the day of Judgement and that our actions in this world matter.
They did not believe him and treated him very badly. His own tribe the Quraysh wanted to kill him because they would lose their power and money if people worshipped One God.
What does the term Taqwa mean?
To be aware of Allah at all times.
Explain the event of Ghadir Khumm.
The Prophet received a revelation from Allah to tell the Muslims "He who's Mawla I am, Ali is his Mawla". For our community we believe this was the decalaration of Imam Ali as the next leader of the Muslim community.
What is the role of the Imam of the time?
To interpret the faith (interpret the Qur'an, write farmans) and Improve the quality of life of murids (us!)
What can we use to help us answer difficult questions or in challenging times in our life?

The Prophet stayed strong in his faith to Allah and had the help of Imam Ali from the beginning.
Say thank you for our food, shelter, clothing, safety, freedom. Give back to those less fortunate. Help others whenever we can. Learn and improve our world.
What did some other Muslims believe the Prophet meant when he said "He who's Mawla I am, Ali is his Mawla"?
Other Muslims thought the Prophet said "I am your friend and so is Ali".
A person of faith is someone who....
recites their du'a, helps others, has good intentions, practices the values of their faith, remembers that their actions in this life matters because of the afterlife, follows the examples of the Prophet and guidance of our Imams
Practice their faith by attending jamatkhana, helping others, learning etc

Prophet Muhammad, Imam Ali, Bibi Fatima, Hazrat Hassan, Imam Husayn AND all of our Imams up until Mawlana Shah Karim al-Husayni
What does hadith al-thaqalayn say? (two things the Prophet left behind)
The Prophet said he would leave the Qur'an and his family the Ahl al-Bayt for the Muslim community.
Our Imams have divine knowledge, they have the nur or light of God within them. They have special knowledge of the Qur'an that has been passed on from Prophet Muhammad to Imam Ali and onwards.
