Not only a places population growth, but also transforming rural areas into more urban ones.

What was the Homestead strike?

After a decision to cut workers wages at the Homestead Plant, workers decided to go on strike that turned violent. Carnegie and Henry Frick did not like the strike and hired Pinkertons to try to end the strike. In the end their was a large fight and their were causalities from each side.
