A smaller prefix will require MORE. Similar to describing your height in inches compared to feet. The object doesn't change it's size, but depending on the unit measuring, you will need more of a more specific or smaller unit.

When COMPARING individual events--one response is not based on another response. Think of the results of survey questions.
