Both north and south, the climate gets colder. It receives less direct sunlight.

Site: Many lakes, near Lake Superior, prairie lands and fertile farmland. Some woods. Mississippi and Minnesota rivers. In the midwest of the US. 


Situation: Major highways and the Mississippi connect it to other states and areas of trade. Major cities with access to goods and resources from all over the world.

Most Democrat voting areas are major cities, more Democrat voting areas are coastal/Republican voting areas are more inland, Republican voting areas take up more land area, and the majority of each state, Democrat voting areas have a higher population, etc.
